SkinCombination skin. Tans easily with some freckles.
On a mission for: The perfect under-eye concealer!

Who is this Tara girl?

I'm just your average everyday gal looking to share crazy fun experiences with family and friends. Whether it be about the cool new MAC eye shadow I just purchased or the super delicious mojito I'm sippin' on in Nikki Beach Miami - I'm gonna write about it. I have lived in little big cities like Denver and Las Vegas, but now call San Francisco home. I'm absolutely living life to the fullest while trying to stay beautiful and young ~ one beauty product at a time!

Why the name Beauty and the Drink?

Beauty and the Drink combines the two loves of my life - beauty products and cocktails with friends. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking those two don't mix! Of course drinking alcohol is never good for the complexion, but that's what Beauty and the Drink is about - finding a perfect balance in life. You know, the one where I can still have fun with family and friends  without creating too many breakouts, makeup mishaps or wrinkles along the way. So wish me luck, and may my beauty arsenal keep the long days and late nights at bay!

How does she fund her fun?

I'm a working gal with a full-time job, so all this fun stuff is fully funded by me.  Luckily, I have a wonderful boyfriend who understands my beauty addiction and allows me to buy what I want but may not necessarily need.  And of course, once in awhile I come across a freebie, which he is ever so thankful for. Ha!  With that being said, you should know that all comments, reviews and suggestions on Beauty and the Drink are my own.  I enjoy giving honest opinions and being able to speak my mind.  So for now I’ve decided not to review products or sponsor giveaways just because companies ask me to - no advertisements either, Beauty and the Drink is strictly dedicated to sharing my fun with family and friends.

When did she fall in love with beauty products?

My fascination with makeup began when I was a little girl. I was the little artist in the family that loved to draw and paint. I loved using color. I would have rows of pencils, pens and markers to make my creations. Sometimes they were on paper and sometimes they weren’t (oops sorry mom!). I would draw mini tattoos on my skin or sneak into my mother’s makeup drawer to put lipstick on while she was away. I just couldn’t help it. My mother didn’t know it at the time, but once she told me the story of our ancestors using makeup as a form of art - it suddenly all made perfect sense! So it’s only natural that I move away from paper and use myself as canvas.
